My Work in Schools

I have worked in education for over 20 years as a teacher, advisor, local authority consultant and psychotherapist. Therefore I have encountered the many issues and challenges that young people face today. I work with all ages, with a particular specialism in working with refugees, black and minority ethnic (BAME) students and those for whom English is an Additional Language (EAL). I also have experience with those who struggle to access mainstream education due to their social and emotional needs.

Over 20 years experience in schools and colleges

Specialist support to fit your provision's needs

Combining my knowledge and experience as an educator and psychotherapist I feel I can offer young people the support they need in order to begin to understand the struggles and challenges they may be facing. In turn, this can help to develop their sense of identity and improve their confidence and resilience.

I work across all educational settings, from primary and secondary schools to colleges and alternative provisions.

The work I do within schools is bespoke, where I will usually discuss with the setting the kind of support that is needed.

Some examples of the support I can provide are:

1:1 counselling sessions
